Actor Siddharth, who plays a key role in the upcoming family drama 3BHK starring Sarathkumar, addressed the media at the film’s trailer launch event held on Friday. Scheduled for release on July 4, the film has drawn attention for its emotional depth and relatable themes. When questioned about his shift toward smaller films despite his experience with star directors, Siddharth responded by challenging the very idea of what constitutes a “small film,” stating that content and depth are more important than scale. “I act to satisfy myself. I didn’t come into this industry for money or fame,” he said, citing Japanese philosophy as the foundation for his professional approach.
The actor also responded to curiosity about his youthful appearance in the trailer. When asked whether Artificial Intelligence (AI) had been used to de-age him, Siddharth clarified that no such technology was involved. “I haven’t used AI. What you see is the result of my effort and commitment to the role,” he said, expressing satisfaction that audiences noticed the transformation. He added that he would be happy to explain how he achieved the look after viewers had seen the film.
Addressing a final question on why he has been choosing message-driven films rather than high-grossing commercial projects, Siddharth responded candidly. “Who exactly gets money-making films? If you think I’m not doing them, maybe I can’t. And that’s okay,” he said. The actor reiterated that his focus remains on meaningful storytelling and personal satisfaction over mainstream commercial appeal.
