Shruti Haasan Confirms X Account Hacked, Urges Public Not to Engage with Posts

Wednesday, December 10, 2025
Actress Shruti Haasan on Tuesday confirmed that her official X (formerly Twitter) account had been hacked. The actress issued a clarification via her Instagram stories, stating that she is not responsible for the recent posts appearing on her X profile and urged followers not to engage with any content until the account is recovered.
“Dear fans, I want to inform you that my Twitter account has been hacked. The posts being made from that account are not mine. Please note this and refrain from interacting with any of the content. Until the account is restored, I request you not to respond,” she wrote.
The development comes amid a series of similar incidents involving celebrity social media accounts. Earlier in March, National Award-winning music composer D. Imman’s X account was hacked and was only restored a week ago. Actress and producer Khushbu has also been a past victim of similar cyberattacks.
Shruti Haasan, known for her active presence on social media, typically uses the platform to connect with fans and share personal reflections. However, on Tuesday, unusual activity was observed on her X account, including promotional content related to cryptocurrency, which raised concerns among her followers.
Her last verified post read: “Am I the only one who feels this joyful, enthusiastic, and positive when the weather is this cool and rainy? Maybe not… Weather like this makes me want to write and stir hearts.”
The recurring pattern of high-profile account breaches has raised alarm over social media security, prompting calls for stronger safeguards to protect public figures from digital intrusions.
