Vishwak Sen’s ‘Gangs of Godavari’ pre-release event has been hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons. The film is set for a theatrical release on May 31. With the release just a few days away, the makers conducted the grand pre-release event on May 28 in Hyderabad.

Going into the details, the pre-release event of ‘Gangs of Godavari’ was graced by the actor Nandamuri Bala Krishna. A video from the event has been circulating online, showing an alcohol bottle near the actor Bala Krishna’s feet.

To address this video, the film’s producer, Naga Vamsi, and actor Vishwak Sen held a press meet conference to discuss the controversies surrounding Bala Krishna. Naga Vamsi stated that the bottles seen in the viral videos were computer-generated manipulations created by individuals with hidden agendas.

Another viral video from the event, showing Bala Krishna pushing actress Anjali on the stage during the event, has also been spreading on the internet. Clarifying that, Naga Vamsi explained that it was a normal, playful gesture between friends, and Bala Krishna’s push was a light-hearted reaction that happens all the time with friends.

However, some netizens are reacting unfavorably, speculating that his actions might have been influenced by alcohol.

Speaking about ‘Gangs of Godavari’, the film is helmed by Krishna Chaitanya and backed by the esteemed production house Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Starring Vishwak Sen as the main lead, the film has Neha Sshetty and Anjali as the female leads, along with Sai Kumar, Nassar, Aayesha Khan, and Hyper Adi in supporting roles.
