‘Satyabhama’ teaser : Kajal impresses in intimidating glimpse

After a brief hiatus post her marriage, top-tier actress Kajal Aggarwal is returning to the silver screen with strong roles in upcoming films. Her first female-centric film Satyabhama is gearing up for release soon. On the eve of Kajal’s birthday today ( June 18th), the makers of this film unveiled the title glimpse and it presents her in a stunning never-before-seen fierce avatar as a ruthless cop.

Playing out at one minute forty-eight seconds, the title glimpse opens with a phone call directing Satya aka Kajal to take charge of the accused prisoners who are adamant and unyielding. So, Kajal walks straight into the cell where a couple of felons are locked up. She refuses to take up the lathi and punches them violently. The way she handles the criminals with disdain sends chills down the spines of her subordinates.

In her interrogation, Kajal suffers some minor injuries to her hand. But, she is phlegmatic to the pain and removes the broken bangles from her blood-soaked hands. The teaser hints that she is essaying a fierce role as a dutiful and fiery cop. It ends on a high note as she wraps her hair in an assertive style.

This is the first time Kajal is appearing in a full-length lady-oriented drama and she seems to be full of beans while essaying this energetic role. In a red saree wearing bangles, Kajal oozes a hero-like swag which makes this glimpse very impressive.

The background score by Sri Charan Pakala is solid and matches the mood of the teaser. Director Anil Degala seems to presenting a commercial cop drama with a strong character for Kajal. The production values are good.
