Sankranti 2025 : Chiru, Venky, Nag and NBK to clash at BO

Sankranti season is undoubtedly the most preferred window for big-ticket releases because there will be strong footfalls in all territories due to festival advantage. This year’s festival witnessed one of the biggest grossing seasons of all time with films like Hanuman and Guntur Kaaram collecting huge revenues. So, the race for next year’s Sankranti is going to be very intense as per trade analysts.

As expected, some upcoming big-budget films are already eyeing to lock the release dates well in advance. Interestingly, Sankranti 2025 is likely to witness an epic box office clash as senior heroes of Tollywood are aiming to release their respective films during the festival season.

It has already been confirmed that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ambitious fantasy adventure Vishwambhara will hit the screens on January 10th. This is an ideal date because the first weekend will be followed by four days of festival holidays. Bimbisara fame director Mallidi Vassistha is the pulling all stops to make this a visual grandeur with strong technical values.

Another seasoned actor Victory Venkatesh, who failed to capitalise on this year’s festival as his landmark 75th film Saindhav came a cropper, is now looking to make amends in 2025 by delivering a wholesome entertainer with happening director Anil Ravipudi. The film, which is likely to be launched very soon, is tentatively scheduled for release in January next year as ace producer Dil Raju is backing this project.

Continuing his festival sentiment, Akkineni Nagarjuna is also setting sights on releasing his next film for Sankranti 2025. He is once again planning to dish out a rural drama as he completed a hat-trick of hits with the same genre after his latest offering Naa Saami Ranga turned out to be the second hit of this year’s festival.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is the only senior hero who is yet to announce his plans for Sankranti 2025. But, there are strong chances that he might join the fray because a film under the direction of Boyapati Srinu is on cards. This project is likely to start rolling after the conclusion of assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and target the festival season. He is presently shooting for a film in Bobby’s direction. Either of these films might release for Sankranti 2025.

If everything goes as planned for all these above films, 2025 Sankranti is going to offer a feast for Telugu moviegoers because this will be the mother of all box office clashes in Tollywood history.
