Maverick director Puri Jagannath is working hard to be back in form with the sequel ‘Ismart Shankar-2’. The maker however is leaving no stone unturned to make it a hit and he is bringing star casting to load the project.
Coming out of the ‘Liger’ debacle and the distributor issues surrounding the project, Puri Jagannath has teamed up with his ‘Ismart Shankar’ hero to do the second part. As announced at the end card of the first part, the duo is determined to continue the streak with a fresh story but keeping the main characters the same. For this movie, Puri reportedly went and met the Bollywood veteran hero turned character artist Sanjay Dutt for a crucial role. However, no one knows if the role is for the antagonist or the main supporting lead for the hero. Sanjay Dutt is doing movies in South India and he will be seen in ‘Salaar’ in Telugu and ‘Leo’ in Tamil movie industries. Puri is using his Bollywood connections to confirm Sanjay’s entry into this project.
Written and Directed by Puri Jagannath, he is bankrolling this movie along with his partner Charmee under the banner ‘PC Connects’. Mani Sharma will score the music and background. Details of other cast and crew will be updated soon by the makers and they are trying to complete and release this movie by this year’s end. As of now, Ram Pothineni is busy finishing his ongoing commercial entertainer under the director Boyapati Seenu.
