Reigning heroine Samantha Ruth Prabhu grabbed the eyeballs of moviegoers across the nation with her sizzling act in the blockbuster item song ‘Oo Antava Mava’ in Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa. Her sensuous facial expressions and blazing dance moves in this song surprised her fans because this was the first time in her 15-year-long career she appeared in such an ultra glamourous avatar on screen.
Amidst rumours that she will once again share screen space with Allu Arjun in the sequel Pushpa 2, Samantha clarified that there are no plans on her part. She revealed that shooting for ‘Oo Antava Mava’ gave her jitters because she was not familiar with how to appear sexy in such songs. She further stated that the purpose of doing the item song was to attempt something different from regular and typecast roles. Samantha said the earthy lyrics posed a big challenge and made her sign the song.
Samantha asserted that she will not do any more item songs in the future even if she is offered fat paychecks. She was last seen as a female lead in Vijay Devarakonda’s Kushi. Up next, she is gearing up for her web series Citadel alongside Varun Dhawan.
