Actress and producer Samantha, known for bringing fresh stories to the audience, recently appeared on the cover of Grazia India. In an interview with the magazine, she spoke about her journey in the film industry, emphasizing that the quality of work matters more than the number of films an actor has done. She highlighted that over the past 15 years, she has carved her own identity and is currently focusing equally on her career and personal well-being.
Samantha revealed that she has chosen to take on fewer projects to prioritize her physical and mental health. “I will no longer work on five films at a time. I’ve learned to listen to my body, which is why I reduced my workload. Even if I do fewer projects, I want them to resonate with the audience. The number of projects may decrease, but the quality will definitely improve,” she said. She also noted that her film choices are guided by meaningful stories rather than recognition or passion alone.
On social media, Samantha said she tries to remain authentic while handling both praise and criticism gracefully. “Just as we enjoy compliments, we should also accept trolling and negative comments calmly. You can control it, but it should not control your life,” she explained. Samantha is currently starring in Rakht Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, a period drama directed by Raj and DK, alongside Aditya Roy Kapur and Ali Fazal.
