‘Salaar’ Teaser : Adrenaline-pumping glimpse

The highly anticipated teaser of KGF director Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, starring Prabhas in the lead role, was out just a while ago and it promises an adrenaline-pumping action drama with breathtaking visuals and stupendous technical values. The teaser also confirms that the film will release in two parts and the first one is billed as ‘Salaar: Ceasefire’

Playing out at one minute and forty-seven seconds, the teaser is a prelude to what appears to be one hell of an actioner after the KGF series. It features a brief episode from an epic and spectacular fight sequence in which Prabhas is turbocharged and swashbuckling.

The Baahubali actor packs a solid punch with his intimidating avatar as he takes on his adversaries in a ruthless manner. He oozes style and effortlessly displays great elan in the action scene. Though Prabhas appears only for a brief period, his presence makes a solid impact on the overall output because of the elevations given at the beginning of the teaser. The background score rendered by Ravi Basrur is effective as it adds more intensity to the glimpse. The visuals are top-notch.

The teaser starts with a scene in which an old man is surrounded by a huge mob ready to attack him. He lionizes Salaar by giving out the names of various wild animals and says they are not dangerous in a Jurrasic Park because… This leads us to a scene that showcases a bevy of armed men and heavy-duty vehicles equipped with deadly weapons getting ready to confront Salaar who then makes a dynamic entry. There is a small glimpse of Prithviraj Sukumaran at the end of the teaser.

It seems like Neel is once again targeting mass audiences with an out-and-out masala fare equipped with loads of action elements and goosebump-inducing sequences. The little focus on the lead protagonist might come as a slight disappointment but the teaser has the spark and might augment the hype on the film further.

Salaar stars Shruthi Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy in significant roles. The film is produced by Hombale Films banner. The first part is slated for release on September 28th.
