‘Salaar’ pre-sales: Earth-shattering opening on cards

The hype and hoopla surrounding Prabhas’ much-anticipated action spectacle Salaar have been mounting to a new level after the countdown for its massive release started a few weeks ago. Even though the makers have not yet kick-started the promotions, the buzz keeps soaring every day. This is because of the massive craze for the heady combination of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel.

Especially in Overseas, Salaar is creating unprecedented hysteria even before one month of its release. It is quite rare that Indian films start making a lot of buzz so early before the release. The advance sales in USA have surpassed the $ 350K mark as of today which is quite mind-blowing. There are good chances that the film will record more than $ 2 million from its premieres alone. It is likely to smash the opening weekend records of SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.

Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 and RRR occupy the first two places in the list of highest-grossing films in the first weekend. Salaar has a strong chance to emulate one of these two films if it gets positive word of mouth initially from its premiere shows.

Salaar will release in a record number of screens in USA and the distribution house is pulling all stops to allot a maximum number of screens in all locations as the craze for the film is quite humongous.

The theatrical trailer will be out in the first week of September. The film is slated for release on September 28th.
