Salaar : Dil Raju offers 80 Crores for Naizam rights

Less than a month to go until the massive release of the most awaited film of the year, Salaar, starring Prabhas and Shruthi Haasan in the lead roles. However, the theatrical business of this Prashanth Neel directional is yet to be finalized in many territories.

Naizam region, the biggest territory in Telugu States, is one area that is being keenly followed by trade circles regarding Salaar theatrical rights. There has been a lot of anticipation about this territory from the very beginning because Prabhas commands a solid market here. His blockbuster film Baahubali 2 collected more than 60 Crores here.

Initially, there were reports that Hombale Films, the production house behind Salaar, would distribute the film on its own in Naizam. However, they have decided to sell the rights for an exorbitant price because of the craze the film is carrying.

As per the latest reports, ace producer and distributor Dil Raju came forward with a staggering offer of 80 Crores out of which 65 Crores non-refundable advance and 15 Crores as returnable advance.

This is a huge gamble considering the performance of Prabhas’ last three outings in this territory. The heady combination of Prabhas and Neel is one of the reasons why trade circles are betting big on Salaar. The expectations are sky-high and the hype surrounding the project is quite humongous.

Salaar will need to perform exceptionally well to recoup such massive investments. But, the production house is highly confident that the film has the potential to wreak havoc at the box office.

The theatrical trailer of Salaar is going to be out next week and there are strong chances that the buzz will shoot through the roof after the trailer launch.
