Andhra Pradesh government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy convened a press conference to counter opposition parties’ criticisms of the Land Titling Act, denouncing what he deemed as false propaganda against the legislation. He accused critics of being land grabbers who opposed the act’s implementation. Expressing frustration, he questioned the credibility of individuals like Chandrababu, who had held the CM position for 14 years, to cast aspersions on the law.
Sajjala condemned the dissemination of misinformation about the act, attributing it to malicious intent fueled by media influence and vested interests. He clarified that the Land Titling Act was still in the design phase and refuted allegations of its imminent implementation. Sajjala alleged that previous laws had facilitated land grabbing, particularly by members of Chandrababu’s faction, citing instances of assigned lands being unlawfully acquired. He criticized critics’ objections to the act, asserting the necessity for comprehensive documentation and dismissing comparisons to diseases, particularly aimed at Chandrababu Naidu.
