The political arena witnessed a remarkable turnout in today’s polling in Andhra Pradesh, surprising many. While TDP leaders expressed satisfaction with the voting trends, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, advisor to the state government, also addressed the matter.
Citizens flooded polling stations to exercise their voting rights, a trend previously unseen. Sajjala attributed this phenomenon to Chief Minister Jagan’s initiatives aimed at uplifting the impoverished, resulting in a notable surge in favorable votes for the government.
Sajjala elaborated that voters had already made up their minds prior to polling day, yet queues persisted at polling stations. He dismissed TDP leaders’ attempts to discredit the Land Titling Act, stressing that the government’s focus remains on uplifting the underprivileged, which ultimately translates to statewide development.
Concurrently, amidst today’s polling, TDP leaders reportedly incited chaos, resorting to violence including stabbing incidents in Chittoor district. Sajjala accused TDP activists and hooligans of launching sporadic attacks in Peeleru, Sattenapalli, and Addanki, alleging rigging and EVM damage. However, he asserted that YSRCP supporters maintained composure and refrained from retaliation, demonstrating restraint throughout the ordeal.
