Actress Sai Pallavi, known for her performances from Malar in Premam to Satya, recently shared her long-standing aspiration to win a National Award. In a recent interview, she revealed a personal reason behind this dream.
Sai Pallavi stated that when she was 21, her grandmother gifted her a saree, asking her to wear it on her wedding day. At that time, she had not entered the film industry and intended to wear it for her wedding. However, after making her debut with Premam, she believed she would one day receive a prestigious award. “Winning a National Award was a significant achievement. I decided that when I receive it, I would wear that saree to the awards ceremony. Until then, the pressure to fulfill this promise remains,” she said.
Fans had high expectations that Sai Pallavi would win the National Award for Gargi, but the honor ultimately went to Nithya Menen.
On the professional front, Sai Pallavi’s latest film, Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, has been well received at the box office. The film, presented by Allu Aravind and produced by Bunny Vasu, features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
