After bagging several awards and accolades at the international market, Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR is now racing for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards. The epic action-drama has now been nominated in two categories: Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu.
Announcing the same on their official web page, Golden Globe Awards wrote- ‘Congratulations to the nominees for Best Picture – Non-English Language. All Quiet on the Western Front Argentina, 1985, Close, Decision to Leave, RRR #GoldenGlobes.’
Also sharing the nominees for Best Song, Golden Globe Awards wrote- ‘Congratulations to the nominees for Best Sing – Motion Picture. “Carolina” – Where The Crawdads Sing, “Ciao Papa” – Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, “Hold My Hand” – Top Gun: Maverick, “Lift Me Up” – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, “Naatu Naatu” – RRR #GoldenGlobes.’
In recent times, RRR has been awarded: Best Picture at the 2022 Atlanta Film Critics Circle Award, New York Film Critics Circle Award, and Hollywood Critics Association Awards, and even achieved the seventh position in the National Board of Review for top ten films of the year.
Adding on, RRR is a masterpiece delivered by the Tollywood filmmaker Rajamouli while produced by DVV Entertainment. Starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles as the two popular Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively, RRR plots the fictional story of the two freedom fighter’s journey against British India.
Apart from the lead cast, RRR also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris and others in pivotal roles.
