Now, the makers are expanding the cinematic universe with a massive prequel — Kantara Chapter 1 — which is currently in production at full speed.
On the occasion of Rishab Shetty’s birthday today, i.e., July 7, the team of the film released a hard-hitting new poster that has already started generating buzz on social media. The poster features Rishab in a fierce warrior look, holding an axe in one hand and a shield in the other — giving a glimpse of the high-octane plot that’s coming our way.
Rishab Shetty, once again wearing the director’s hat and showing the way, is going all out to take this project to even greater heights. The movie is being produced on a very big scale by Hombale Films, the banner that brought us blockbusters such as KGF and Kantara.
Ajaneesh Loknath will be coming back to provide the soundtrack, which is likely to be instrumental in bringing to life the powerful, earthy nature of the film.
Kantara Chapter 1 will hit a big-screen release on October 2, 2025, and is likely to break new ground in pan-India cinema once again.
