Kannada actor Rishab Shetty announced that he is collaborating with Mythri Movie Makers for his upcoming film Jai Hanuman and will learn Telugu for the project. He shared the update while speaking at an event in Vijayawada, emphasizing his commitment to connect with Telugu audiences.
The actor also addressed recent criticism over his use of Kannada at the pre-release event of Kantara Chapter 1 in Hyderabad, which had sparked online debate. Rishab expressed gratitude to Telugu film stars Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas, and NTR for their support. “I naturally think in Kannada, so I speak in that language, but I respect all languages. Going forward, I will make efforts to speak in other languages as well,” he said.
Rishab directed and starred in Kantara Chapter 1, the prequel to the hit film Kantara, which features Rukmini Vasanth as the lead actress. The film is scheduled for a Telugu release on October 2, further expanding its pan-Indian appeal.
