Hyderabad: The Chief Minister-designate, A Revanth Reddy, arrived at Begumpet airport at 10:30 pm on Wednesday via a special flight from Delhi. Upon arrival, he was warmly received by DGP Ravi Gupta, CS Shanti Kumari, and other senior officials. Following a successful meeting with top Congress leaders in the national capital and a significant victory in the Telangana assembly polls, Revanth Reddy received an enthusiastic welcome from party leaders and supporters.
Interestingly, it has been reported that Revanth Reddy declined the official convoy arranged by the state police, explaining that he had yet to take the oath as CM. Instead, he departed from the airport in his personal car, accompanied by Manickam Thakre, who had traveled with him from Delhi.
Earlier in the day, Reddy held meetings with the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence in Delhi. Subsequently, he paid visits to Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, party MP Rahul Gandhi, and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi before heading back to Hyderabad.
