On the occasion of Republic Day, the central government has announced the Padma Awards 2025, honoring individuals who have rendered exceptional services across various fields. Seven individuals have been selected for the Padma Vibhushan, 19 for the Padma Bhushan, and 113 for the Padma Shri.
From Telangana, Dr. Duvvur Nageshwar Reddy has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan in the field of medicine, while actor Balakrishna from Andhra Pradesh has been selected for the Padma Bhushan in the arts category.
