The makers of rebel star Prabhas’s upcoming movie ‘Adipurush’ made hardcore fans sad with its latest announcement.
The movie has been indefinitely postponed from the Pongal race to a later time of the year.
Adipurush failed to make buzz due to its not-so-impressive visual effects and bad portrayal of some characters in the movie that was based on mighty Ramayan. In this regard, the director along with his team is reworking the VFX works and improving the content to score a hit and shut the mouths of all the critics. As of now, there is not much craze for this movie, and the fact that Pongal is packed with movies from big stars across many regional industries is also troubling the makers.
Especially the base market of Prabhas, Tollywood has mass entertainers like ‘Waltair Veeraiah’ of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna’s ‘Veerasimha Reddy’ will dent the major collections of Aadipurush along with Akhil’s Pan Indian movie ‘Agent’. Another big market of Kollywood is readying two big stars Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ and superstar Ajith’s ‘Thunivu’.
It is inevitable to postpone the release considering the production cost of ‘Adipurush’ and release it without much competition to get the maximum collections possible.
Directed by Om Raut, this mythological thriller is bankrolled by Bushan Kumar with a whopping budget. Krithi Sanon is pairing the Rebel star and Saif Ali Khan is the antagonist.
