After more than a decade, Oscar-winning tunesmith AR Rahman is composing music for a Telugu hero. His last film was Pawan Kalyan’s Komaram Puli. Thirteen years later, Rahman is making a comeback to Tollywood with Ram Charan – Buchi Babu film which is tentatively titled #RC16.
Though the news regarding Rahman’s association with this project was confirmed long back, an official update regarding the same was made today afternoon. On the eve of Rahman’s birthday, the makers of ‘RC16’ officially welcomed him on board for his prestigious project.
An amazing poster featuring a guitar fretboard with a silhouette of Rahman’s iconic pose on one side and a welcome note on the other side was unveiled by the team to make this massive announcement. They also wished him a Happy Birthday.
With Rahman’s inclusion, the pan-India project got bigger as it already features a star-studded cast in the form of Charan, Vijay Sethupathi and Shivaraj Kumar.
The filming of RC16, a sports drama with a gripping storyline, will commence in Summer 2024. Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings will jointly bankroll the film.
