Actor Ravi Teja recently made a witty comment about producer Naga Vamsi’s speech at the War 2 pre-release event, leaving fans amused. Ravi Teja joked that the producer’s speech sounded more like a warning than a request to audiences — as if he was saying, “If you don’t come to theaters, you’ll be in trouble.”
Responding to the remark, Naga Vamsi said, “NTR, Aditya Chopra, and I trusted Yash Raj Films. The mistake happened on their side, and we got caught in it.” The light-hearted exchange took place during the promotions of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Mass Jathara.
Directed by debutant Bhanu Bhogavarapu and produced by Naga Vamsi, Mass Jathara features Sree Leela as the female lead and is set for release on October 31. During a promotional interview with director Kalyan Shankar, Ravi Teja and Naga Vamsi also addressed online criticism of commercial cinema.
Naga Vamsi commented that some audiences tend to dismiss commercial films, saying, “What’s in it?” He added, “I can’t make a Geethanjali with Ravi Teja — people wouldn’t watch it anyway.” Ravi Teja wrapped up the discussion with his signature humor, lightening the mood as always.
