Ravi Teja’s ‘Mr. Bachchan’ Trimmed By 13 Minutes Following Criticism

Wednesday, November 20, 2024

Ravi Teja graced the theaters with his latest film, ‘Mr. Bachchan’, on Independence Day, along with many other films like ‘Double iSmart’, ‘Aay’, and ‘Stree 2’. Helmed by Harish Shankar, the film marks their third collaboration.

With Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and young actress Bhagya Shri Borse in the lead roles, the film received mixed-to-negative reviews and criticism. The film failed to meet the expectations of fans and registered a single digit opening on its first day in theaters.

Despite the special cameo appearances by renowned actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda and music director Devi Sri Prasad, it did not help them achieve collections at the box office.

To enhance the cinematic experience, the filmmakers made changes in the runtime and announced an update. Making it an official announcement, the makers took to their social media handles and shared that they had trimmed 13 minutes from the initial 158-minute runtime for a crisper experience.

Along with the poster, they assured with the message, “Taking in all the criticism and feedback, #MrBachchan is now trimmed by 13 minutes to make it even more racy and engaging.”

The makers believe that this trimmed version of the film could achieve positive box office results.

Speaking more of ‘Mr. Bachchan’, it is an official remake of the Bollywood film ‘Raid’ featuring Ajay Devgn. With some changes and Ravi Teja’s unique style under the direction of Harish Shankar, it was produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory. Jagapathi Babu portrayed the main antagonist. Mickey J. Meyer composed the musical tunes.
