Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is completely busy with pushing his next movie Mass Jathara, and fans are already abuzz. During a special chat with Mad franchise director Kalyan Shankar, Ravi Teja, along with producer Nagavamsi, revealed some interesting aspects of their ventures. The interview, which has become viral on social media, has further increased the buzz for what lies ahead.
Recalling a good memory during the conversation, Kalyan Shankar said that Ravi Teja was one of the first ones to personally call up the directors to congratulate them after the success of Mad, Little Hearts, and DJ Tillu. He then mentioned, offhand, the concept of a crossover movie with the cast of Tillu and Mad, an idea he humorously referred to as Mass Mad Cube. Ravi Teja, with his signature enthusiasm, responded without hesitation, saying, “Always okay, let’s start anytime!”
which left Kalyan Shankar pleasantly surprised. Kalyan Shankar’s remark probably came from his own perceptions about this promising potential. The commercial success of movies like DJ Tillu, which starred Siddhu Jonnalagadda, and Mad, whose cast comprised Narne Nithiin, Vishnu, and Shobhan, confirmed that huge budgets or extremely complex narratives are not always the prerequisites for a movie to find resonance among viewers. What really worked was compelling storytelling and solid performances, given these films were produced by Sithara Entertainment.
