Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has the chance to score a hat-trick of hits when his latest offering Ravanasura was up for release last week. His previous two films Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya emerged as blockbusters at the box office and reinstated his lost glory. His energetic performances in both these films came as a breather to his fans and he heaved a sigh of relief with back-to-back successes.
Unfortunately, Ravanasura failed to ride on the coattails of those results. The Sudheer Varma directional started on a decent note at the box office but failed to withstand the poor talk and negative reviews. Ravanasura is declared a flop by trade analysts by Monday evening looking at the trend of collections on the first four days. With the disappointing result of Ravanasura, Ravi missed a good opportunity to score a hat-trick of hits. He is now aiming for a strong comeback with his upcoming films Tiger Nageswara Rao and Eagle.
Meanwhile, director Sudheer Varma completed a hat-trick of flops with Ravanasura. His previous two films Ranarangam and Shakini Dhakini left no trace at the box office. He showed a lot of promise with the trailers and teasers of Ravanasura. However, his work failed to create an impact. He now bagged three flops in a trot making a hat-trick for him. He is known for delivering slick entertainers like Swamy Rara and Keshava. Of late, he delivered a string of flops thereafter.
