Star actress Rashmika Mandanna is actively promoting her upcoming historical drama Chhaava, which features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is set for release on February 14. As part of the promotional activities, the Chhaava team recently visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, where they performed special prayers.
On Monday, Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika sought blessings at the temple and later interacted with fans. Sharing their experience on social media, the actors expressed their gratitude and excitement ahead of the film’s release.
Meanwhile, Chhaava has completed its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes, with the censor board recommending the muting of certain words and modifications to a few scenes. Dialogues referencing the Mughal Empire were altered, and sequences depicting Maratha warriors wearing sarees were removed. Additionally, the board directed the filmmakers to ensure the accurate representation of visuals and text from the Marathi book by author Shivaji Sawant, on which the film is based.
Chhaava is a historical epic centered on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son, Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal portrays the warrior king, while Rashmika Mandanna plays the role of his wife.
