National Crush Rashmika Mandanna has been to places with back-to-back hits in Telugu and Tamil. Apart from her commercial movies, the heroine has signed her first ever Female centric film Rainbow to showcase her acting skills.
Titled Rainbow, the movie which will be a romantic fantasy drama with Rashmika in the author-backed central role, the movie has been launched today in Hyderabad amongst the core team. A debutant Shantharuban is yielding the megaphone and would direct Rashmika in this female-oriented movie. Dev Mohan would romance Rashmika as the male lead but his role would be limited to supporting Rashmika. Fans of Rashmika are quite delighted to see her sticking back to the character-driven roles which provide a huge mileage to her career just like Nayanatara, Sai Pallavi, Keerthi Suresh, Anushka Shetty, etc.
Producers SR Prakash and SR Prabhu are bankrolling this movie lavishly on their home banner Dream Warrior Pictures while the National Award-winning production designer Banglan takes care of production design. Justin Prabhakaran is scoring the music and KM Bhaskaran is cranking the camera. Touted to be a bi-lingual movie, the regular shoot would be kickstarted soon in the erected sets of Ramoji Film City from the 7th of this month.
