Rashmika Mandanna Playfully Talks About Retirement

Rashmika Mandanna is all set to be seen as the legendary Maratha queen Yesubai Bhonsale in the historical drama Chhaava, which will star Vicky Kaushal. The much-awaited trailer of the film, launched in Mumbai, has already generated anticipation, with the cast and crew eagerly sharing their excitement for this monumental project.

In an emotional commentary on her assignment, Rashmika exclaimed full of thanks and excitement. “It’s an honor to play Maharani Yesubai. It’s a dream roll for sure, once-in-a-lifetime stuff. I’d be happy retiring, having played the role,” said Rashmika with a sweet smile. Having been a South Indian actress, the actress found herself in this highly significant role and hailed Vicky Kaushal and his performance in this film as pretty impressive.

Rashmika had confessed that when she was approached for the film, she had felt a little overwhelmed. But after gaining more confidence in Laxman Utekar’s vision for her character, she decided to accept the challenge of playing such a strong character.

Chhaava is one cinematic promise, promised to the masses. Featuring an impressive cast and production from Maddock Films and AR Rahman as its music director, it would promise a movie to be never forgotten. Released on 14 February 2025, this movie is in sync with Maratha history that coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, being celebrated on February 19.
