National crush Rashmika Mandanna recently apologized on social media after realizing a mistake she made during an interview. She mentioned that the first movie she watched in theaters was Tamil star Vijay’s Ghilli, expressing her admiration for the actor. However, Rashmika mistakenly stated that Ghilli was a remake of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri, instead of Okkadu.
Netizens quickly caught the error, humorously sharing clips of the interview. Addressing the mistake, Rashmika posted a lighthearted apology on “X” (formerly Twitter), writing in Telugu:
“Yes… I realized it after the interview was over. Sorry! Ghilli is a remake of Okkadu, not Pokiri. Pokiri was remade in Tamil with the same title. By then, posts about me were already viral. Sorry… sorry… my bad! But honestly, I love all their movies.”
On the professional front, Rashmika recently delivered a blockbuster with Pushpa: The Rule. The film has already grossed over ₹1500 crore globally and is breaking records in Bollywood, with no hurdles in its box office run. Rashmika is currently busy with upcoming projects like Chhava, Sikandar, The Girlfriend, and Kubera.
