RaPo committing a mistake by signing Puri’s project

Energetic actor Ram Pothineni( RaPo) scored the biggest hit in his career with Puri Jagannadh’s iSmart Shankar. The film ended their rusty phase and gave them a new lease of life. After iSmart Shankar, both Ram and Puri delivered two successive flops separately in their next outings. While Ram is currently busy shooting for Boyapati Srinu’s upcoming mass entertainer, Puri is working on the sequel to iSmart Shankar.

Sources revealed that Ram has already agreed to reunite with Puri after wrapping up Boyapati Srinu’s flick. It is a known fact that Puri’s last offering Liger, starring Vijay Devarakonda, ended as a colossal flop at the box office. Buyers in all territories suffered huge losses due to the disastrous performance of Liger. They have been demanding Puri to settle the losses. But, Puri didn’t offer any solatium to them.

As a protest against Puri, buyers have started to observe hunger fasting near the film chamber in Hyderabad ahead of the announcement regarding the Ram – Puri film on May 15th. It seems like the result of Liger will haunt Puri for a long time. He will need to compensate the buyers of Liger and then find financiers for his next film. Even if he pools money to produce on his own banner, there will be a lot of negativity surrounding the project from the first day. Puri might find it very difficult to sell the rights because he has a very bad reputation for delivering a string of flops quite often.

Many in the industry circles feel that Ram is committing a mistake by teaming up with Puri Jagannadh at this point in his career. However, if they manage to deliver another blockbuster, it will be a strong comeback for both of them again.
