Renowned actress Anushka, celebrated for her versatility and distinctive style, is set to enthrall audiences with the upcoming film Ghaati. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film features Anushka in the lead role and is scheduled for release on September 5. The story is written by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao, and Anushka is actively engaging in the film’s promotional activities. Recently, actor Rana Daggubati conducted a phone interview with her, during which she shared key insights about the film.
Anushka revealed that Ghaati was shot along the Andhra-Odisha border and emphasized the film’s relevance to contemporary societal issues. “After films like Baahubali and Arundhati, Ghaati stands out. Putting aside the violence, the story aligns with current societal conditions. Krish always gives me strong, memorable roles. Saroj in Vedam was a sensitive character, and he presented it beautifully. Similarly, in Ghaati, my character Sheelavati will leave a lasting impression,” she said.
Responding to Rana’s light-hearted question about doing one film every three years, Anushka stated, “I am selecting good scripts. From next year, I will do consecutive films and also appear in public events. I haven’t attended family weddings either, and everyone keeps asking when I will appear. I will be seen soon.” Notably, producers had earlier indicated that Anushka had initially agreed to the film but would not be part of its promotional activities.
