AMARAVATI: Galla Jayadev, Member of Parliament, has announced his withdrawal from politics. He convened a meeting with TDP leaders and activists in Guntur today, confirming that he will not be participating in any upcoming elections. Additionally, Jayadev declared that no member of his family would be entering the political arena.
The decision came as a surprise, leaving his colleague, MP Rammohan Naidu, disheartened. Expressing his sorrow, Naidu remarked, “I am deeply saddened by Jayadev’s decision to exit politics. Jayadev has always been amiable, and he provided me with much encouragement when I was hesitant to speak in Parliament.”
Galla Jayadev cited enduring challenges with the current government, alleging that Chief Minister Jagan had subjected him to both personal and commercial harassment. Recognizing the hard work of Jayadev’s family in their hometown, Rammohan Naidu expressed hope for Jayadev’s eventual return to the political arena.
