Actor Ram Pothineni, celebrated for his energetic performances both on and off-screen, recently shared personal insights about his life and career on the celebrity talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, hosted by Jagapathi Babu.
Ram revealed that his family faced severe hardships during his childhood. “I was born in Hyderabad, but we later moved to Vijayawada. In 1988, caste clashes in Vijayawada caused our family to lose everything overnight. My father decided to move us to Chennai and start afresh. Building something from scratch is one thing, but losing it all and starting over is entirely different. Despite all challenges, my father raised us with determination, and I have immense respect for him,” Ram shared.
He also spoke about his passion for travel and connecting with people. “I enjoy going on tours whenever I get a break, often switching off my phone to explore. Meeting people from different regions helps you understand your own values. I always introduce myself as a student, and this allows me to learn from everyone I meet,” he said.
Reflecting on his cinematic journey, Ram recalled advice from Chiranjeevi after the success of Devadasu: “He told me to treat every film like it’s your first and work hard the same way. When he introduced me to Ram Charan, I thought a film background would have helped me, but later realized it also comes with immense pressure.” Ram’s candid sharing highlighted both his personal resilience and professional insights that have shaped his career.
