Global star Ram Charan will be honored with the Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IIFM).
The IIFM announced Mega Powerstar Ram Charan as the chief guest of honor for its 15th edition. The annual celebration of Indian cinema in Australia will be hosted by the Victorian State Government, and this year it will take place between August 15 and 24.
Ram Charan got widespread recognition globally with the film ‘RRR’, directed by SS Rajamouli. The film has shattered many records, garnered acclaim all over the world, and received many prestigious awards. Now, adding to the anticipation, it is reported that Ram Charan will not only visit as a guest but also receive the honor.
Sharing his excitement, Ram Charan said, “I am deeply honoured to be a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne that celebrates the diversity and richness of Indian cinema on International platform. It’s a privilege to represent our film industry and connect with fans and cinephiles from across the globe.
He also added, “The success of ‘RRR’ and the love it received worldwide has been overwhelming, and I am thrilled to share this moment with the audience in Melbourne. I look forward to this tremendous opportunity to hoist our national flag here in Melbourne.”
On the work front, Ram Charan recently wrapped up shooting for his highly anticipated political action thriller ‘Game Changer’, helmed by Shankar. He is set to join the sets of ‘RC 16’ under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana, alongside Janhvi Kapor. Additionally, he will also appear in Sukumar’s project ‘RC 17’.
