Rajinikanth’s Jailer poised to take a solid start

Superstar Rajinikanth’s last couple of outings might have left no trace at the box office. But, that doesn’t seem to impact the openings of his upcoming film Jailer which is poised to take a sensational opening in all territories. The high-octane trailer punctuated with mass elements and whistle-worthy moments involving Rajinikanth in his vintage form seems to have generated a massive buzz in favour of the film.

The pre-sales of Jailer gained huge momentum after the trailer launch. Trade circles are expecting a big start on its opening day in Tamil Nadu and North America. The makers have upped the promotions ahead of its release and the first-day numbers are likely to be better than Rajini’s previous films.

After Kabali, it is going to be Jailer with such a huge opening because Nelson Dilip Kumar has a good craze among moviegoers due to his promising track record. In North America, Jailer is likely to exceed all expectations and breach the million-dollar mark with its premieres alone. In Tamil Nadu, Jailer is set for a terrific start with a record-breaking start. In Telugu States, the film is likely to register decent numbers despite facing stiff competition from Bholaa Shankar.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has Mohan Lal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishna and Tamannaah Bhatia in prominent roles. Anirudh Ravichander scored the soundtrack.
