Veteran actor Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevita have been sentenced to one year in prison along with a fine in the age-old case. Shocking details of this surprising case are as follows:
It was the time when Rajasekhar and Jeevita used to malign Chiranjeevi and his PRP continuously and at one time, the celebrity couple made TV programs to accuse Chiru of selling blood in his Blood Bank. Ace producer Allu Aravind, who manages the Blood Bank registered a defamation case in 2011 against the couple. After a decade-long investigation, the 17th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Nampally declared its verdict the other day. The court found nothing illegal happening in Chiranjeevi’s Blood Bank and clearly felt that Rajasekhar and Jeevita intentionally defamed the organization. So the Magistrate sentenced one complete year of Jail along with an imposed fine of 5000 rupees. However, they got immediate bail by paying the impositions.
The veteran hero and his director wife however decided to appeal the decision of the court and they are very less likely to get away from this case. However, the experts opine that the damage was already done to Chiru and PRP back then as all the accusations did cost him invaluable votes back then when the megastar was in Politics.
