Director S.S. Rajamouli has thanked the Kenyan government for its cooperation in the filming of #SSMB29 (working title), starring Mahesh Babu. He described his visit to Kenya as a memorable experience, adding that the moments spent shooting there will remain unforgettable.
During the schedule, Rajamouli and his son Karthikeya met Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. In a social media post, Mudavadi lauded Rajamouli’s ability to deliver “powerful storytelling and stunning visuals,” noting that the 120-member crew chose Kenya after touring East Africa. Key sequences were filmed at the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and the iconic Amboseli landscapes.
Planned as an adventurous story of a globe-trotting protagonist, the film will feature Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. The makers are preparing for a wide release in 120 countries, with the first-look set to be unveiled in November.
