Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu and Numero Uno filmmaker SS Rajamouli graced the pre-release event of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal in Hyderabad that was held before its release.
Surprisingly, neither of them gave their opinion about the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directional even a week after its release. Mahesh Babu is an avid movie buff. Quite often, he watches new films and praises them through his X ( Twitter) account. Even Rajamouli also occasionally watches notable films and raves about them through his tweets. However, they maintained utmost silence about Animal.
Talk is that they feared backlash from the public as Animal was under severe criticism from a section of moviegoers for its excessive portrayal of masculinity and violence.
There is no denying the fact that Sandeep Reddy has been receiving flak for his misogynist approach in all three films that released so far irrespective of their phenomenal box office run. So, many prominent personalities in the film industry didn’t openly express their views on Animal as they feared that they would be criticized if they admired the filmmaking and other aspects.
As Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu are among the most influential celebrities in the film industry, they seem to have decided to not get into any controversy by expressing themselves about this film. Hence, they didn’t utter a word.
