Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Kompella Madhavi Latha addressed concerns over her political involvement during an interview on NTV Question Hour. Asserting her stance, she emphasized that politics should ideally be a passion rather than a pursuit for personal gain. Latha underscored her commitment to serving the Muslim women of the old city, referencing various initiatives undertaken by Prime Minister Modi. Dismissing opposition to Hindutva, she clarified her motivations for seeking the blessings of Amma at Bhagyalakshmi temple, distancing it from political agendas and expressing support for renaming Hyderabad.
Accompanied by Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, Latha questioned the achievements of the Majlis party in the old city and stressed the importance of addressing the public’s grievances. She highlighted her longstanding engagement with Islamic NGOs and asserted her fearlessness in the face of challenges, emphasizing her three-decade-long presence in the community. Regardless of electoral outcomes, Latha expressed her dedication to service, citing her extensive philanthropic work across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.
