Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’, a sequel to his 2021 crime saga inspired by real-life incidents around the illegal smuggling of red sandalwood, is undoubtedly the biggest pan-India film of 2024. This is because of the massive box office impact created by the first part in all territories across the country. Trade circles are betting big on Pushpa 2 because it has the potential to shatter many records of the country.
Though the makers of Pushpa locked August 15th as the release date for the sequel, rumors have been surfacing quite often in the media regarding postponement due to delays in shooting formalities. However, the team is keeping a check on these unconfirmed reports. From the last couple of days, reports are rife that the film will be pushed from August.
Once again, Pushpa team scotched the ongoing rumours through a post on their official X handle. It reiterated that Pushpa The Rule will arrive in theatres as announced earlier on August 15th.
However, it is true that there is still an adequate portion of the shoot of this sequel is pending as director Sukumar wants to deliver a solid output with his uncompromising attitude. The team is now planning to wind up the shooting formalities by Summer and dedicate ample time to the post-production activities.
Pushpa 2 will have Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and all other cast will retain their roles. Mythri Movie Makers is the production house behind this film.
