Pushpa 2 targeting Holi festival

The recognition for Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s commendable performance as Pushparaj in Sukumar’s pan-India blockbuster ‘Pushpa The Rise’ in the form of a National Award as Best Actor has undoubtedly augmented the buzz on the next part, Pushpa: The Rule. There are mammoth expectations for the follow-up because the first part saw tremendous success at the box office in all territories all over the country. However, the makers have been maintaining utmost silence on the release date and other key updates.

As per the latest reports in media circles, the second part of the franchise will hit the screens on March 22, 2024. It is heard that the production house has hinted to the distributors about the release date as they want to take advantage of the Holi festival which falls on March 25 next year. Pushpa 2 has the potential to take an astronomical opening at the box office in North India. So, the makers want to ensure that the film gets an extended run and makes strong money in the first four days. An official announcement is likely to be made very soon.

The filming of Pushpa 2 is progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad and the team is planning to wrap up the shooting formalities by the end of this year. The ensuing Summer holidays will surely help the film have a long run if the output matches the high expectations.

Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the soundtrack for the second part as well. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead and Fahadh Faasil is the antagonist. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the film on a grand scale.
