Pushpa 2 : Item song ready, Item Girl not ready

Pushpa The Rule, the sequel to Allu Arjun’s blockbuster crime thriller ‘Pushpa The Rise’, is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited pan-India film of 2024 because trade circles in all territories are betting big on this follow-up as it has the potential to smash numerous box office records of all time due to the unprecedented hype among moviegoers of all languages.

Paying no heed to the ongoing rumours about the film’s postponement, the makers are currently busy wrapping up the shooting formalities so that they don’t miss out on August 15th release date.

Meanwhile, director Sukumar is on the lookout for an item girl who can fit the bill perfectly for a foot-tapping item song composed by tunesmith Devi Sri Prasad. It is heard that a spicy song with catchy lyrics is ready, but Sukumar is yet to finalize the actress who is going to share screen space with Allu Arjun this time. Names of several leading heroines surfaced in the media circles, but none of them were signed up.

Now, reports suggest that Bollywood diva and item song specialist girl Nora Fatehi is the forerunner in the wishlist and she is likely to come on board very soon. Once she is officially finalized, Sukumar might plan to shoot the item song.

Top-league heroine Samantha sizzled in the first part for ‘Oo antava’ song. The mass number emerged as a chartbuster and became a rage all over. This song contributed to the film’s success greatly. So, Sukumar wants to pull off another blockbuster item number in the sequel.
