The massive success of Pushpa in North India is one of the biggest reasons why the sequel garnered so much of hype and attention all over the country. Allu Arjun’s mannerisms and performance received unanimous response from Hindi audiences and created an unprecedented buzz for the sequel in North circuits.
As expected, Pushpa 2 embarked on a record-breaking start with an opening day net of 72 Crores on Thursday and emerged as the first Indian film to achieve the remarkable feat. It comfortably surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan which held the record day one number with 65.50 Crores net. On Friday, Pushpa 2 refused to slow down than a considerable range and punched out 59 Crores net to breach past the 130 Crore mark in style.
On Saturday, Pushpa created history again by putting on a better show than the first day and collected 74 Crores net from Hindi version alone. This is the first time a film collected more than 70 Crores in the history of Indian cinema. A dubbing film creating a box office destruction in North India is a rare feat because films like Baahubali 2 and KGF were the only ones who achieved a similar distinction in the past. But, Pushpa 2 has outperformed them quite effortlessly.
On Sunday, Pushpa 2 is going to rewrite history because the walk-ins and advance bookings till afternoon hint that this is going to be the biggest day by a long margin. There are chances for the film Tom collect more than 85 Crores with Hindi version alone.
