The maverick director Puri Jagannath has come out of the ‘Liger’ debacle and launched his most awaited project ‘Double iSmart’ with the hero Ram Pothineni. The movie was officially launched today among the close associates of the ‘Pokiri’ director.
Ever since the movie ‘iSmart Shankar’ got released, speculations rife that the sequel will be the immediate next of this combination but Puri went for Pan Indian market with Vijay Devarakonda ‘Liger’. The movie bombed miserably thereby canceling the announced project of ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Puri dealt with the distributors and buyers of Liger and took enough time to dust off all the dirt of ‘Liger’ to come up with the sequel ‘Double iSmart’ script. Within no time, the movie got finalized and the team launched the Muhurath shot today. Puri’s partner Charmee gave the first clap and Puri himself directed the first shot by switching on the Camera while Ram fired a pistol and said the dialogue ‘Ismart Shankar alias Double iSmart’.
PC Connects, a joint venture of Puri and Charmee is funding this sequel with a decent budget. More details of this movie’s lead cast and crew will be updated soon. Puri is keen on completing this movie as soon as he can and the regular shoot will start from the 14th of this month. Fans and well-wishers of Puri are wishing to see the most celebrated director bounce back and be on track with ‘Double iSmart’. Other than this flick, Ram is readying his upcoming release #RapoBoyapati under the director Boyapati Seenu.
