Project ‘K’ : Kaala Chakra or Kalki or Kurukshetra?

What does K in Prabhas’ upcoming film Project ‘K’ ( working title) stand for? This has been a trending topic among moviegoers now. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that this is as widely popular as the famous cinematic mystery – ‘Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali ? which created a lot of curiosity across the globe after the release of Baahubali 1.

Ever since the makers started the promotions of ‘Project K’ a few days ago, there have been wild speculations on what K in the title really means. Before the suspense ends on July 20th as the makers are going to unveil the first glimpse during the Comic-Con event in San Diego, there have numerous rumours that are circulating in industry circles and social media.

Reportedly, titles like Kaala Chakra, Kalki and Kurukshetra are the potential ones that are being considered by the team as per the reports in the media. These titles have a close inkling with Indian mythology. As Project K is touted to be a blend of mythology and science fiction, there are good chances that one of these titles will be finalized by the makers.

It may be noted that long back the makers gave a sneak peek into the world of Project K with a video that showcased the making of a giant wheel. So, there is a strong possibility that Kaala Chakra might be the forerunner as the title. Also, Kalki and Kurukshetra are also in consideration. We have to wait for a few days more to know what is in store from Prabhas and his team.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Project K boasts an ensemble cast in the form of Deepika Padukone Amitabh Bachchan Kamal Haasan Disha Patani, and others in significant roles. Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling the film on a grand scale.
