Project K gets bigger with Kamal’s entry

Project K, headlined by Prabhas, Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, is turning out to be a star-studded affair. As speculated in media circles, Universal actor Kamal Haasan has joined this big-budget entertainer which has Nag Ashwin as director. An official announcement regarding this crazy development is out this Sunday afternoon. However, it is not known if Kamal is playing a full length character or a cameo.

The production house welcomed Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in style with a brief yet scintillating video snippet that showcases the fleeting glimpses of some of the iconic characters played by Kamal Haasan in his career. ‘ We needed someone whose shadow could cover the earth. There was only one’ and Kamal’s name is revealed. The classic and vintage background score in the video makes this announcement more grand.

Project K is billed as the costliest film ever in the history of Indian cinema. It is touted to be a futuristic drama. The shooting formalities are progressing at a brisk pace. The makers have already announced that the film will hit the screens on January 12th next year. But, there are reports that it will be postponed to Summer or a later season.

Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies banner is bankrolling this film. Santosh Narayanan is rendering the soundtrack.
