After suffering a string of flops, Mega Prince Varun Tej is determined to make a strong comeback with his next film which is tentatively titled ‘VT15’. Talented director Merlapaka Gandhi will helm this big-budget entertainer which is touted to be a Indo-korean horror comedy.
On the eve of Varun’s birthday, the makers unveiled the pre-look of this interesting film this Sunday morning and it grabs the eyeballs instantly. The poster features a cauldron placed inside a room with a blazing backdrop. The dragon symbol on the pot and the Korean symbols on the banner in the backside and the ribbon clearly hint that the story revolves in a Korean country. It is going to be an action comedy set in a first-of-its kind Indo-korean backdrop.
Music sensation SS Thaman is on board for the project. Other cast and technicians are yet to be announced. Reports suggest that the untitled film will feature actors from Korean and other countries.
Sources revealed that Varun Tej will undergo intense training in popular marital art form and combat sport, Taekwondo. There will breathtaking acton episodes with a tinge of comedy infused into the narrative with gripping screenplay. As the story unspools in South Korea and then shifts to India, there will be episodes featuring fight sequences where the lead protagonist will need to perform Taekwondo stunts with perfection.
Despite Varun’s flop streak, UV Creations is betting big on this new age drama. Solid budget has been earmarked for technicians and other production costs. The filming is expected to begin shortly.
