Amaravati: The meeting between renowned election strategist Prashant Kishor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu has concluded after a three-hour session at Chandrababu’s residence in Undavalli. Reports suggest that Prashant Kishor has presented a comprehensive analysis of the Jagan government to Chandrababu. The report highlights widespread dissatisfaction among the state’s youth towards the YSRCP government. Factors such as the rising cost of living, increased electricity tariffs, taxes, and unemployment are anticipated to negatively impact the YSRCP’s electoral prospects.
Incidents involving attacks on Dalits and BCs have also proven detrimental for the ruling party, leading to a perceived alienation of these communities from the YSRCP. The assessment goes on to state that, with the exception of one or two ministers, the majority of the ministers are likely to receive low marks. The perceived arrogance of the government is contributing to a negative public sentiment. The report suggests that the opposition, especially the TDP, should formulate a strategic plan to capitalize on this situation and attract the youth vote.
