Malayalam-known art director and production designer Sunil Babu passed away on Thursday. As per the reports, Sunil was recently admitted to a private hospital complaining of leg swelling.
However, Sunil suffered a major cardiac arrest on Thursday night and passed away at the age of 50. Many celebrities from the south Indian industry expressed their grief and shock over the sudden demise of the talented art director. They further offered their support and condolences to the loved ones of Sunil.
Speaking about his work, Sunil began his career by working as an assistant under the popular art director Sabu Cyril. He worked in various languages including Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada.
His films like Oopiri, Maharshi, Premam, Bangalore Days, Sita Ramam, Singh is King, MS Dhoni, Pa, Thuppaki, Ghajini, Bheeshma Parvam and many others were known hits in the south.
Interestingly, Sunil has also worked as the art director in the upcoming bilingual drama Varisu which is titled Varasadu in Telugu. The film stars popular Tamil actor Vijay Thalapthy in the lead role while Rashmika Mandanna will be the leading lady in the flick.
Helmed by Vamshi Paidipally and bankrolled by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu is scheduled to hit the theaters on January 11, 2023.
