Leggy lass Pooja Hegde was initially roped in as the leading lady for Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. She desperately needed a big hit to revive her low-lying career and pinned all hopes on Trivikram Srinivas to come up with an impressive character in this commercial fare. But, she opted out of the project after a few months of shooting due to creative issues.
It was rumoured that the ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramloo’ actress decided to walk out of the project as Trivikram interchanged her role with the second female lead Sree Leela in the middle of the project.
Reportedly, Pooja was supposed to play the inconsequential character in which Meenakshii Chaudhary was cast later on. As she felt that there was no relevance for her role in the story, Pooja decided to take an unceremonious exit from this crazy project.
However, Pooja has no regrets about losing this opportunity after seeing the box office reception. Sources close to the actress revealed that she is quite happy with the result and felt that she made the right decision to back out from such a film at the last minute.
Pooja is currently looking for offers in other languages.
